julia (she/her/they) is a brooklyn based actor with a passion for comedy and physical theatre. she received her BA in dramatic art from the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill (highest honors, by the way).

growing up in norfolk, virginia (the city of mermaids), julia loved to swim in the ocean, collect rocks & shells, and chow down on an all you can eat sushi buffet.

her favorite form of theatrical collaboration is devising through the universal language of our bodies. whether that be with viewpoints, laban, commedia dell'arte, or mime. at present, julia is a member of the Blessed Unrest training ensemble.

julia is a total comedy nerd and she is obsessed with making people laugh (in a really chill normal way). she is a current student at Upright Citizens Brigade, and performs at open mics for clown & stand up across the city.

when not performing, you may find julia junk journaling, dancing at the club, collecting tiny treasures, playing her nintendo switch, or cheering on the UNC men's basketball team (go heels!).

Julia Finke is magnetic ... She shifts easily between charm and vulnerability ... Finke plays with warmth, sharp intelligence, and restless vitality.
